Aon names Deehan as Asia Pacific chief

Aon has appointed Sean Deehan as CEO of its Strategy and Technology Group for the Asia Pacific region. In this role, Deehan will help expand access to Aon’s integrated advisory, analytics, and technology-led solutions, enabling clients to make better risk and capital decisions and pursue profitable growth.
Expanding Aon’s Presence in APAC
A key focus for Deehan will be expanding adoption of Aon’s Life Risk Modeling Suite in APAC, including PathWise, the firm’s platform for life and annuity risk modeling. Based in Hong Kong, Deehan will report to Sherif Zakhary, global CEO of Aon’s Strategy and Technology Group and Inpoint.
Asia Pacific represents a significant growth opportunity for Aon’s team, and Deehan will play a key role in expanding capabilities, strengthening collaborations, and delivering greater value for clients across the region.

Deehan’s Experience and Expertise
Deehan brings more than 25 years of experience across insurance, consulting, strategy, and risk management, with extensive expertise in Greater China and across Asia Pacific. He has led businesses and growth initiatives across some of the region’s most dynamic insurance markets, with experience spanning strategy, actuarial leadership, M&A, market entry strategy, product innovation, risk management, and client advisory.

Deehan joins Aon from Willis Towers Watson, where he most recently served as Greater China divisional leader and head of Hong Kong and Macau. He previously held several senior executive and board-level roles, including CEO and executive director of Standard Life (Asia).
