Ex Ecclesiastical boss takes new broker role
Macbeth has appointed Chris Withers as head of schemes and market placement in a newly created role designed to support the broker’s long-term growth plans. Withers joins the business with more than 35 years of insurance industry experience spanning distribution, schemes, MGAs and the real estate sector.
In his new role, he will lead Macbeth’s insurer placement and schemes strategy, focusing on developing insurer relationships, identifying new opportunities and securing placement solutions for clients. The broker said the appointment will play a central role in strengthening its market proposition and supporting the growth of its specialist insurance offering.
Industry Experience
Withers brings experience from a number of major insurers, having spent 16 years at RSA before joining Covéa, where he held senior roles including schemes manager and head of distribution for commercial lines and real estate. Most recently, he spent a decade at Ecclesiastical, serving in a variety of leadership positions including broker distribution director and schemes and MGAs director.
